1. Acceptance and scope

By accessing or using YouToStem, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a school, organisation, or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Age and parental supervision

Core games can be played without an account. If you are below the age at which you may consent to online services or personal-data processing in your location, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and supervise your use. Children must not create an account, upload content, or submit personal information without the permission required by applicable law.

3. Accounts and account security

• Registration is optional. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly tell us that it has been compromised.
• Display names, profile text, avatars, and other public-facing material must comply with these Terms and must not impersonate another person.

4. Permitted use

You may use YouToStem for personal, family, and educational purposes. Unless we expressly permit it, you may not:

• disrupt, overload, probe, bypass, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or another account;
• use automated means to scrape, copy, or submit content in a way that burdens the service;
• upload malware, harmful code, unlawful material, or content that infringes privacy, copyright, or other rights;
• harass others, manipulate challenges or scores, or misrepresent the source or result of a submission; or
• reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit the service or its content without permission.

5. Community content and feedback

You retain ownership of content you submit. To operate, review, display, secure, and improve the relevant feature, you grant YouToStem a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, and display that content for as long as it remains on the service. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it. Suggestions and feedback may be used without an obligation to compensate you.

6. Intellectual property

The YouToStem name, visual design, original games, text, graphics, and software are owned by YouToStem or used under licence and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership or grant a right to use our branding.

7. Third-party services, links, and advertising

The site may link to or integrate services operated by others, including sign-in providers, analytics services, hosting infrastructure, advertisements, and external websites. Their own terms and privacy notices apply. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices. An advertisement or link is not an endorsement unless clearly stated.

8. Game results and educational disclaimer

Games, hints, generated levels, timers, scores, and progress records are provided for entertainment and informal learning. They are not professional teaching, certification, medical or psychological assessment, or a guarantee of learning outcomes. Local browser data may be lost if you clear site data, change devices, or use private browsing.

9. Availability and changes

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, levels, accounts, or content. We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouToStem is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YouToStem and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, progress, opportunity, or profits arising from use of or inability to use the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability caused by fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-excludable grounds.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove submissions, or preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits—will continue to apply.

13. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your place of residence remain unaffected. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, security practices, or legal requirements. The updated version and effective date will appear on this page. Where a change materially affects registered users, we will provide additional notice when reasonably practicable.
