How are the 600 YouToStem Klotski levels generated?
Each board starts from one of several solvable templates with vertical and horizontal generals, then uses deterministic legal reverse moves. Visually equivalent layouts are removed even when identical pawns or generals have exchanged IDs. The 600 unique boards are grouped into Starter, Intermediate, Advanced, and Master stages by scramble depth.
How do I play Klotski on a phone or computer?
On phones and tablets, swipe directly on a piece. On a computer, drag with a mouse or select a piece and use the arrow keys. A tap also moves a piece when it has only one available direction.
How are moves, undo, and personal best measured?
Each valid one-cell movement counts as one move, while blocked gestures do not. Undo restores the previous board and removes one move. Your best completed move count and time are saved in the current browser.
How is the daily puzzle different from regular levels?
The daily puzzle deterministically selects one of the 600 levels from the current date, so everyone receives the same board that day. Regular mode lets you freely choose any numbered level.
Can I share and accept a Klotski challenge without signing in?
Yes. After solving a level, choose Invite Challenge to open the same sharing panel used by the site header. The URL carries the starting board, level, moves, and time, and a friend can open the same puzzle without an account.
