How to Play Light Path

Levels, daily puzzles and friend challenges

Use the level input or Previous/Next to choose a puzzle. Daily challenges refresh by UTC date, with one shared puzzle per mode each day. Invite Challenge opens the site share dialog with the exact board, without a login. Sharing after a win includes your time. Times are self-reported by the browser, not verified rankings. Use Sound to toggle game audio.

Look before drawing

Find the green start. Plan how to visit edges and corners without isolating empty cells. Move one cell at a time horizontally or vertically, never diagonally.

Single Stroke: keep it continuous

Hold the start and trace every light without releasing. Visiting all 25 cells wins immediately. Keyboard players press Enter to start and use arrow keys to extend the path.

Connect: leave room for other colors

Consider edges and nearby pairs first, but do not always choose the shortest route. Draw from one letter to its match, then release. Detours may be needed to fill the board.

White Lights: connect only lit cells

Start at the green light and trace all white lights exactly once. Visited white lights turn cyan; unlit cells remain blocked.

Check gaps and retrace

If all pairs connect but gaps remain, redraw a route through the empty area. Retrace while drawing to shorten a line; Escape cancels the current edit.

Light Path FAQ

Why does Single Stroke reset?

Hold the green start and visit adjacent cells continuously. Releasing, leaving the board, revisiting a cell, or cutting off the remaining region resets the path. Time keeps running until you press Restart.

Is connecting all pairs enough?

No. Every pair must connect and all 25 cells must be covered. Paths cannot share cells or pass through differently colored endpoints.

How can I correct a connection?

Retrace a line to shorten it, or start at an endpoint to redraw that color. Releasing an unfinished line restores the previous complete connection.

Can I play without relying on color?

Endpoints also carry matching letters A–E. Arrow keys and Enter/Space provide a keyboard alternative to dragging.

How does White Lights work?

Each puzzle lights up 14–23 target cells, with one green light marking the required start. Begin there and trace every white light once using adjacent horizontal or vertical steps. Unlit cells are blocked. Releasing, leaving the board, repeating a cell or reaching a dead end resets the path. Restart retries the same puzzle; Next opens another level.

Are the puzzles solvable?

Single Stroke offers 13 starting-point exercises; Connect and White Lights each offer 120 levels. All puzzles are generated from valid paths. White Lights increases its light count every 30 levels. Uniqueness and strictly increasing difficulty are not guaranteed.
