📘 Memory Flip Strategy Guide

1

Build a location map

Remember each symbol together with a region such as top-left, center, or bottom-right instead of memorizing the icon alone.

2

Use recent information first

When a familiar symbol appears, recall where you just saw its pair. Explore an unseen area only when no location comes to mind.

3

Scan in a fixed order

Revealing cards from left to right and top to bottom reduces repeated checks. Random jumping makes visited locations harder to track.

4

Balance steps and speed

The theoretical minimum equals the number of pairs, but discovery takes extra turns. Build accuracy first, then reduce time and unnecessary flips.

❓ Memory Flip FAQ

How do you play Memory Flip?

Reveal two cards at a time. Matching icons remain face up as a completed pair; different icons stay visible briefly and then turn back over. Match every STEM symbol to finish.

How are steps counted?

Revealing two different cards counts as one step whether or not they match. The first card alone does not add a step, making scores directly comparable.

How many levels are included?

There are 120 levels across Starter, Explorer, Challenge, and Master stages with 3, 6, 8, and 10 pairs respectively. Symbol selections and card positions vary by level.

When does the timer start?

The timer starts with the first card reveal and stops automatically when every pair is matched. Restart clears the current time, steps, and matched cards.

How is the Daily Challenge generated?

The current date creates a fixed level and card order, so everyone receives the same deck on that day. It updates the next day and requires no account.

How can I reduce unnecessary flips?

Scan the board in a fixed order and remember each symbol together with its location. When it appears again, recall the earlier position before exploring randomly.

Do friend challenges require an account?

No. After finishing, Invite Challenge opens the header share dialog with a URL containing the deck seed, steps, and time. Friends replay the exact same layout.

What skills does a matching game practice?

It primarily exercises visual short-term memory, spatial location memory, attention control, and information updating. Results also depend on screen size and familiarity and are not a medical assessment.
